Gernot Rohr who is the handler of the Super Eagles of Nigeria has confirmed his wards' readiness for their international friendly game against Cameroon which will be played on Friday night, June 4.

The Super Eagles have, for the past few days, been training hard in Austria for their two friendly games against Cameroon even though they won't be with star striker Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen got injured before the end of the season at Napoli and the former Lille star is currently recuperating.

Nigeria have maintained their dominance over Cameroon in recent years with the three-time African champions winning two of their last three fixtures while the other one ended in a draw.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Gernot Rohr explained that his players are ready to do well against Cameroon in their international friendly games.

“The players are well motivated. They want to do well. The training sessions have been good. They are happy to come together again.
“The last time we played was in March. We have two victories against Benin and Lesotho. Now we are in June . This is the last preparations for us . We have the AFCON draw at the end of June.''

Gernot Rohr has been the coach of the Super Eagles since 2016 replacing Sunday Oliseh and has led Nigeria to two big tournaments which was the 2018 World Cup and 2019 African Cup of Nations.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how goalkeeper John Noble and forward Anayo Iwuala of Enyimba have both been inducted into the Super Eagles family on Wednesday night, June 2, in a glorious ceremony.

Gernot Rohr and his Super Eagles players are currently in Vietnam where they are preparing to face Cameroon in two friendly games which are expected to be tough.

Cameroon and the Super Eagles of Nigeria have been long term rivals as far as African football is concerned.

While having dinner in their hotel, Ahmed Musa who is the captain of the Super Eagles called the two players forward asking them to introduce themselves and sing for their teammates.

John Noble who has been impressive this season for Enyimba was the first to come out on the stage and he was in joyous momentum while singing a worship song, praising his creator.
