Edouard Mendy who is Chelsea's number one goalkeeper has warned his teammates at Stamford Bridge to be wary of Riyad Mahrez in the Champions League final against Manchester City.

Chelsea and Manchester City will go head to head on Saturday night, May 29, in the Champions League final in Porto which is expected to be a tough encounter between these two EPL giants.

Already, Manchester City have won the Premier League title while Thomas Tuchel and his wards at Stamford Bridge are still looking for a title this term.

Riyad Mahrez has been one of the best African players considering his brilliant performances so far this term for Manchester City and even when he was at Leicester City.

At Leicester City, Riyad Mahrez won the Premier League title with the Foxes which he has won against with the Citizens at the just concluded term.

According to the report on GOAL, goalkeeper Mendy who is expected to be fit for the Champions League final explained that Mahrez will be dangerous for his side.

"I don't think Riyad needs any introduction, he is one of the best African players and he has played at a very high level for several years.
"He will be one of his side's biggest threats - one of Manchester City's assets.''

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel vowed to go drunk if his Stamford Bridge side defeat Manchester City to win the Champions League on Saturday night, May 29.

The German tactician aims for his first Champions League glory and he is already in party mood ahead of the encounter with the hope of tasting success.

Chelsea vs Manchester City will hold at the Estadio do Dragao on Saturday night to determine who the king of Europe is.

Both teams are already in Portugal for the showdown. Both Premier League clubs, despite being amongst the world’s largest now find themselves on club football’s biggest stage very rarely.

And the ex-Borussia Dortmund manager has admitted he wants to wake up on Sunday with a hangover - even if it a few gin and tonics.
