Tension As Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus Face Two-Year Ban From Champions League

European football governing body known as UEFA have launched a disciplinary probe into the failed Super League putting the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus and Barcelona in serious trouble.

Aleksander Ceferin who is the president of UEFA is said to be livid with these three clubs based on the fact that they were the architects of the proposed Super League.

They now face two-year ban each from playing in the Champions League unless they dissolve totally from their intention to form another competition.

Football fraternities in the world were stunned last month when the news of the proposed Super League came on board with some Premier League sides also showing interest.

But after serious criticisms, all the Premier League teams involved pulled out from the Super League which they have the intention of staging next season.

According to the report on UK Sun, UEFA are ready to slap the leaders of the proposed League with two-year ban from appearing in Europe.

“In accordance with Article 31(4) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations, UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspectors have today been appointed to conduct a disciplinary investigation regarding a potential violation of UEFA’s legal framework by Real Madrid CF, FC Barcelona and Juventus FC in connection with the so-called ‘Super League’ project.

“Further information regarding this matter will be made available in due course.”
