Kelechi Nwakali is now on the verge of switching his allegiance to a foreign nation after being frustrated with a lack of active games in the Super Eagles.

The dream of all Nigerian players who are playing professional football is to appear for the Super Eagles of Nigeria who are three-time African champions.

Many Nigerian players have used the Super Eagles to get deals in Europe where they are currently doing fine with their respective clubs.

In 2015 when Nigeria's Under 17 team won the FIFA World Cup, Kelechi Nwakali was the captain of the side and he performed wonderfully well in the championship.

But ever since then, the 22-year-old former Arsenal man has not played any competitive football for the Super Eagles which makes him available for any other nation.

Interestingly, the likes of Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Osimhen who were his teammates in the Under 17 have been playing for the Super Eagles.

According to the report on Complete Sports also cited on Vanguard, Allwell who is Kelechi's elder brother and agent claimed that some foreign nations have approached the 22-year-old.

“Some agents of foreign countries have approached Kelechi for a switch of allegiance so he would play for their national teams.''

Nwakali was among the Super Eagles players who played against Atletico Madrid in 2018, but he was not picked for the FIFA World Cup in Russia the same year.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu on Friday night, May 7, continued with his superb goal-scoring form for Belgian side Genk this term netting the first goal in their 3-0 win over Club Brugge.

Club Brugge went into this encounter with the determination to shock Paul Onuachu and his teammates in front of their faithfuls, but they ended up losing the tie.

The visitors almost scored the first goal in the 5th minutes after Hans Vanaken delivered a good pass for Bas Dost, but he was unable to beat Genk goalkeeper Maarten Vandevoordt.

First 45 minutes ended with the two teams finding it hard to score in what was a tough battle at the Luminus Arena.
