- Kylian Mbappe is one of the most sought-after strikers in world football at the moment
- The 22-year-old Frenchman already boasts of the prestigious FIFA World Cup title
- Mbappe has stated that although he has played against Messi and Ronaldo, he sees himself as the best
Paris Saint-Germain goal-poacher Kylian Mbappe has stated that although he has played against superstars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, he tells himself he is the best.
Messi and Ronaldo are arguably the best players of their generation having dominated the football space for more than a decade, winning everything possible.
Both legends split a staggering 11 Ballon d’Or titles between themselves with the Argentine winning it six times, while his Portuguese counterpart has won five.
And now, with both stars in the twilight of their remarkable career, it seems Mbappe will be wearing the shoes following his remarkable achievement so far, despite his age of 22.
The Frenchman who already won the World Cup has so far scored 32 goals in 38 matches for PSG in all competitions this season.
"The ego? Of course, it's important because when you're in the rough, no one else is going to push you. And you have to convince yourself that you are capable of toppling mountains.
"Every time I go on a pitch I always tell myself that I'm the best and yet I have played on grounds where there was Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
"They are better players than me, they have done a billion more things than me. But, in my head, I always tell myself that I'm the best because that way you don't give yourself limits and you try to give your best."
Meanwhile, Mbappe netted a brace helping French club Paris Saint-Germain to a 3-2 away win against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final first-leg.
It was a fixture involving last year’s finalists and the game lived up to its pre-match razzmatazz as it was entertaining from start to finish.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Real Madrid are reportedly intensifying efforts to secure the services of both Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland this summer.
Both youngsters have dominated headlines in recent times after putting up compelling displays for their respective clubs.
Los Blancos are now hoping they can bring the two players to the Bernabeu ahead of next season as they hope to dominate Europe again.
