Desperate Liverpool fans have created a GoFundMe accound to raise funds for the possible signing of Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe.

SPORTbible are reporting that only £65 donation has been received so far which is no way near the targeted world-record £250 million fee for the Frenchman.

Liverpool have continued to struggle in front of goal having only managed one at Anfield in their last six home matches.

Consequently, they need a striker like Mbappe who scored a hat-trick at the Camp Nou in the Champions League.

Hence this GoFundMe entitled simply 'Get Mbappe to Liverpool'. The description reads:

"As Liverpool do not have the funds to attempt such a bid, we thought we would take it upon ourselves to raise the cash from all fans around the world. Let's shock the footballing world.
"There are roughly 100m Liverpool FC fans on a global basis. If all fans donated we would only need to donate £2.50 each in order to raise enough to talk to Kylian."

Also, Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has urged his former club to do all they can to sign either Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland this summer.

The retired centre-back suggested that the move will help the Red Devils capitalise on the improvement under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season.

Rio added that landing any of the two players will make United serious title contenders in the coming seasons.

The former England international also added that the Old Trafford outfit must bring another central defender in time for next term.

Ferdinand seems satisfied with Man United's improvement under Solskjaer across all competitions this season, and he showered praises on the Norwegian.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has stated that a certain number of players will not be allowed to go on international duty later this month.

International break looms as players are billed to return to their respective national teams to participate in competitions for their home country.

Guardiola who has now joined the likes of Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel says they will not allow players travel home if they would need to quarantine upon return to the UK.
