Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu on Wednesday night, February 17, continued with his brilliant performance this season in Europe scoring his goal number 23 for Genk.

Paul Onuachu and his teammates at Genk were away at KVO Oostende in which the Nigerian striker scored the opener in their 3-1 loss over their opponents.

His goal against KVO Oostende was a penalty in the 10th minute and the 26-year-old Nigerian has now scored six spot-kicks this term in the Belgian topflight.

Genk are currently occupying third position on the Belgian League table with 43 points from 27 matches and they are 17 points behind leaders and champions Club Brugge.

Onuachu's superb performances so far this season for Genk has made him a target for some big European giants in the Premier League and Spanish La Liga.

He is also expected to be called by Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for the coming 2022 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The former FC Ebedei man was among the Super Eagles players who played at the 2019 African Cup of Nations where Nigeria finished third in the championship.

So far, Paul Onuachu has played nine games for the Super Eagles of Nigeria and has only been able to score one goal.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Ola Aina for the second time this season scored in a Premier League game during Fulham's 1-1 draw with Burnley at Turf Moor.

After a goalless first half, the Nigerian international gave the Cottagers the lead five minutes after the restart.

The 24-year-old was on hand to guide the ball into the back of the net after Robbie Brady was unable to clear his lines from Ademola Lookman's cross.

Ashley Barnes brought the Clarets back on level terms after he was left unmarked with much space as he equalized in the 52nd minute.

Another Super Eagles star Josh Maja could not continue his goalscoring form from their last outing against Everton as he fired blanks.
