Incredible Kylian Mbappe gifts his match-worn Champions League hat-trick shirt to UFC legend

UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov was in the stands as PSG defeated Barcelona 4-1 in their first-leg round of 16 tie on Tuesday night, February 16.

Kylian Mbappe found the back of the net three times in the encounter and then a Moise Kean goal for the visitors, despite captain Lionel Messi had put Barcelona ahead early in the game.

The masterclass saw Mbappe being handed the man of the match award on the night but after the game, the Frenchman presented UFC champion Khabib his shirt.

The striker looked delighted after the game as he was handed the match ball as well after the final whistle.

The 22-year-old forward later bumped into Khabib Nurmagomedov at the Camp Nou, where the pair exchanged words.

Mbappe even signed his match-worn shirt and handed it over to the UFC legend in a brilliant gesture.

He becomes only the third player ever to score a hat-trick against Spanish giants Barcelona.

The two other footballers who netted hat-tricks against the Catalan club are Faustino Asprilla for Newcastle and Andriy Shevchenko for Dynamo Kyiv.

Team-mate Neymar who is injured watched the game from home and was upset with referee’s decision to hand the Catalan giants a spot-kick after Frenkie de Jong had his legs clipped by Layvin Kurzawa.

The incident left Neymar baffled at how the decision could be given, which saw him take to Twitter to give his followers his reaction.

He tweeted with a load of laughing emojis: 'Joke that penalty,' before he swiftly deleted the post.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that former Chelsea and Liverpool forward Joe Cole has labelled Kylian Mbappe the world's best player after singlehandedly inspiring PSG to beat Barca.

Cole, however, believes that Mbappe's performance in the game was that of the world's best adding that it supersedes that of Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo combined.

The 39-year-old former England star said while on punditry assignment for the Champions League match.
