Premier League club Manchester United are reportedly impressed with the services of Nigeria’s Shola Shoretire and will now grant him his first professional contract.

The 17-year-old is set to be handed his first career professional contract amid interests from several European clubs including Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus and PSG.

Daily Mail are reporting that Shoretire is one of the best midfielders in his age bracket and he is well appreciated at the Old Trafford.

He is expected to become a world-class player at the rate he is going as he has been a regular starter at the clubs U23s.

He is tipped to break into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils squad soon having previously trained with the first team on few occasions.

“The diminutive Shoretire can play on the wing or up front,” Nicky Bu.tt, the head of first-team development at United, told Manchester Evening news his preference is for the club's youngsters to fly under the radar.

Shoretire made his Uefa Youth League bow at the age of 14 years and 314 days last season. He is beeping louder on the radar.

With a number of top clubs willing to take him, it was always going to be a battle to keep hold of the player.

However, conversations with the likes of Michael Owen, Marcus Rashford, and Mason Greenwood convinced him to stay put at the Theatre of Dreams.

Meanwhile, Sergio Ramos appears unrepentant about leaving Real Madrid at the end of his contract with the Spanish League giants.

The 34-year-old who has been linked with a move to Manchester United will be free to negotiate with any club of his choice and at his own dictates this summer.

However, with less than six months to the end of his deal with Los Blancos, Ramos may have given credence to his exit claims after liking an Instagram post that talked about him leaving.

However, Legit.ng earlier reported that Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Wilfred Ndidi and Jamie could return to the squad when Leicester City take on Wolves in a Premier League clash at the weekend.

Ndidi was subbed off during the Foxes draw with Everton and has missed two league matches in the process.

On the other hand, Vardy has recovered from a hernia operation and has been sidelined for the last three fixtures.
