Reports have it that the mood at the Tottenham Stadium is tensed as Serge Aurier reportedly left the premises immediately he was substituted at half-time during their loss to Liverpool.

Liverpool bounced back from a five-game winless streak to defeat Tottenham by 3-1 in a tough Premier League fixture.

Roberto Firmino, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sadio Mane got their names on the scoresheet while Pierre-Emile Hoejbjerg scored the only goal.

However latest reports have it that Aurier who was substituted at half-time was furious with manager Jose Mourinho and left the stadium immediately.

He was replaced by Harry Winks as Jose Mourinho changed formation, a decision which left the Ivorian furious with the tactician.

After the game, the manager was asked about the mood within the squad at half-time while they trailed the Reds.

Mourinho said, via SunSport:

"It’s the mood of a team that it was difficult to accept you are losing, difficult to accept the nature of the goal because the goal is in some aspects a replica of the chance they had in the first minute.
"So it’s of course a mood where people are not happy - but then we have to move.
"Then Harry is injured and we need to try to do something. Unlucky that we started the second half conceding a goal."

Mourinho vented his frustrations at Thiago's challenge on Harry Kane that left the player injured.

The England striker will be out for a few weeks and it will come as a huge blow to Spurs' title challenge this season.

Thiago delivered a bad tackle to Kane after the referee ignored a call from the Spaniard who tried to dribble past Pierre-Emile Hoejbjerg.

With the victory, Liverpool now move within six points from league leaders Man City as they drag themselves back into the title race.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester United outcast Jesse Lingard is set for a loan spell at West Ham United after The Hammers agreed to take him up for the remainder of the season.

The England international, according to reports by Sky Sports, is set to undergo a medical in Manchester before travelling to London to complete the move.

If all goes as planned, Lingard could complete the move by Friday, January 29, and will be eligible to face Liverpool on Sunday.
