Victor Osimhen who currently plays for Italian giants Napoli has expressed happiness for his return to the Super Eagles squad ahead of their 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.

The 21-year-old was unable to play for the Super Eagles in their last two friendly games against Algeria and Tunisia as the Nigerian Football Federation told him to stay in Italy due to the threat of COVID-19.

Nigeria will be facing Sierra Leone on Friday evening, November 13, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, Edo state, and all the players invited are available for the encounter.

Super Eagles have won their first two games in the qualifiers and they are topping Group L with six points, while Sierra Leone are at the bottom of the table with only 1 point so far.

According to the video made available by the Super Eagles media team, Osimhen explained that the game will not be easy stressing that victory will be attained.

''It's a good feeling to be back in the squad and I'm really happy and I think the team is ready for the game on Friday against Sierra Leone.
''Nigerians should expect victory from us, but the game will not be easy for us and we have to prepare well and give everything to win this match.
''it's disappointing that fans will not be allowed to watch the game in the stadium, but we understand the COVID-19 situation and we will try our best.''

Victor Osimhen has been playing for the Super Eagles since 2017 and has so far featured in nine games for the three-time African champions scoring four goals.
