Jordan Henderson of Liverpool has accused VAR of altering lines during games to disallow goals, after his side was denied all three points on Saturday, October 17 against Everton.

A goal each from Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin cancelled out Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah's strikes as they both shared the spoils after the regulation period.

Henderson thought he had scored the winner in the 92nd minute, but the goal was controversially ruled out after Sadio Mane was adjudged to be offside during the build-up to the goal.

In his comments after the game, the furious Liverpool captain stated that VAR officials ‘bend the lines’ to disallow goals.

He told BT Sport as cited in Dailymail:

"It must be offside with VAR, it's what everyone wants.
“I think they bend the lines sometimes to make it offside. I'm not sure how they do it, I've seen it before.
“It's disappointing we haven't got the win. I thought the performance was very good and we deserved to win the game. I think Everton will be happier with the draw.”

Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk has reportedly been ruled out of action for the most part of this season after picking a terrible injury the game which ended 2-2.

However, the Reds dropped more than just points as they lost their influential defender Virgil van Dijk to a terrible injury in the game.

And he could be out for the most part of the 2020-21 season which could, in turn, have a toll on how Jurgen Klopp lines up going forward.

Give Me Sport reports that the Dutchman has undergone a scan after the game and it was discovered that he damaged his anterior cruciate ligament.

However, Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester United target Luis Gomes has been hailed 'the next Luis Figo' as his style of play has drawn comparisons with the legendary football icon, according to reports from UK outlet Mirror.

The 16-year-old wonderkid could be moving to the Old Trafford as the Red Devils are preparing a bid for him despite him signing his first professional contract in October.

Gomes recently signed a 5-year-deal with Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon, however it is claimed that United are already to snap-up the player having agreed a first-refusal option should Lisbon decide to sell.
