Sadiq Umar, Nigeria's top scorer at the 2016 Rio Olympics, scored a brace as Partizan Belgrade beat Radnicki Nis 4-1 on Saturday, September 28, to stretch their unbeaten run in the Serbian top-flight to nine matches.

Umar, who scored four goals for Nigeria's U-23 bronze winning team at the 2016 Olympics, helped Partizan Belgrade fight back from one goal down to thrash their opponent.

Partizan went behind after Nermin Haskic converted a 11th minute penalty to give the host the lead.

But the lead lasted only 12 minutes as Partizan Belgrade were also awarded a penalty. Bibras Natcho made no mistake from the spot to level matters.

Umar fired the away team into the lead in the 29th minute after great play from Seydouba Soumah. And at the end of the first half, it was Partizan Belgrade who went into the dressing room with a 2-1 lead.

At the start of the second half, Seydouba Soumah finished off a good team move to give the away team a 3-1 lead.

Before Umar scored his second in the 77th minute after Soumah provided the assist again. The goal turned out to be the icing on the cake as Partizan claimed an emphatic 4-1 win.

The victory moved Partizan to second of the Serbian top-flight table with 23 points after nine matches as they maintained their unbeaten record (seven wins, two draws).

Partizan are just one point behind league leaders FK Crvena Zvezda who have 24 points.

Umar has scored five goals across all competitions already this season.

The 22-year-old who is on loan from Roma, will be hoping to maintain his goal scoring form when Partizan Belgrade visit Astana for their UEFA Europa League fixture on Thursday, October 3.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Jamilu Collins, Super Eagles left back, scored his first goal for Bundesliga newcomers Paderborn as they narrowly lost 2-3 to Bayern Munich at home, on Saturday, September 28.

The 25-year-old netted a 30-yard screamer in the 84th minute to give his club hope of a comeback but it wasn’t enough as Paderborn remain bottom in the Bundesliga.
