Kylian Mbappe has revealed his future does not lie with Paris Saint-Germain during French football awards suggesting he might be moving on during the summer window.

According to Daily Mail, the French World Cup winner while accepting the Ligue 1 player of the year award, admitted that despite claiming the prestigious price, he was not able to achieve some set goals.

“Of course there have been lots of disappointment this season but that is part of football.

“This is a very important moment for me, I am arriving at maybe the first or second turning point in my career.

“I have learned so much here, and I feel it's maybe the time to have more responsibility.

“Maybe at PSG, that would give me great pleasure, or maybe elsewhere for a new project,” he said.

Speaking with reporters in the mixed zone after the ceremony, the 20-year-old Mbappe, who would not like to be quoted out of context, re-emphasized the points he made earlier on during his speech.

“I said what I had to say. When you are in such an occasion you can send messages, I think I have sent mine.

“If I speak more it will be too much and that is not the message I wish to send,” he summed up.

Interestingly, Mbappe's boss at PSG Thomas Tuchel appeared upset with the forward’s speech during the awards night.

Mbappe joined the Ligue 1 champions in 2017 from Monaco on loan a reported fee of £166m.

Real Madrid were reportedly leading the race to sign Mbappe before he opted for Paris.

The forward netted 38 times in 42 matches this season and assisted 17 goals for his teammates.

PSG emerged Ligue 1 champions with six games to the end of the season but were sent packing from the Champions League in the last-16 by Man United.

At the last count, Mbappe has won the World Cup with France, but has failed to win a Champions League medal with PSG and might be heading to the Bernabeu to achieve this.
