A civil society organsation, the Network for Accountability and Transparency Crusade, has urged organised labour to respect the court order halting its proposed nationwide strike action schedule to begin Tuesday, November 6.

Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, and United Labour Congress of Nigeria, workers staged a protest in major streets across the country including Lagos state to demand a new minimum wage at N30,000.
Ahead of November 6 nationwide strike planned to compel the federal and state governments to peg a new minimum wage at N30,000, organized labour said it will hold massive protest across the country on Tuesday, October 30.
The contentious issue of the new minimum wage may be resolved today, Monday, October 29 as the Economic Management Team would be meeting state governors to harmonise positions on the ongoing negotiation with labour unions.
Femi Adesina, the special adviser on media and publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, has said N30,000 demanded by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) as national minimum wage for civil servants is not feasible.
