The Aare Ona-kakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Adams, has said that the Rural Grazing Area (RUGA) policy of the federal government would not address the insecurity challenges currently facing the country.
Aare Gani Adams, the Aare Ona Kakanfo, has warned south-west governors against providing land for herdsmen to breed cattle. Adams gave the warning at the South West Security Summit which held in Ibadan.
Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams who is the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland has called on the inspector-general of police, Muhammed Adamu, in the need to involve locals on the issue of security.
Gan Adams accused the federal government of turning a blind eye to the activities of the armed herdsmen, by refusing to call a spade by its name, dubbing the Fulani marauders as criminals, bandits, and pillagers.
Adams, in his remarks, lauded President Buhari for recognizing the efforts of late Abiola and several other heroes and heroines who paid the Supreme price, saying the recognition is indeed a reward for Nigeria's democrats.
The Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba land, Chief Gani Adams, on Wednesday, June 12, said that the southwest region will not be fulfilled if the federal government does not declare M.K.O. Abiola as president.
