Malam Ibrahim El Zakzaky
A coalition focused on seeking justice in Nigeria has called on the United Nations, the US and the European Union to caution Iran over members of Shiite group.
Erudite lawyer and human rights activist, Femi Falana, has written a letter to the attorney-general of the federation, Abubakar Malami, demanding the release of the detained Shiite leader Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.
Abubakar Malami on Thursday, December 26, explained that unlike Omoyele Sowore and Sambo Dasuki, the former National Security Adviser (NSA), El-Zakzaky's case is between himself and the Kaduna state high court.
Following the release of Omoyele Sowore and Sambo Dasuki, Femi Falana (SAN) who is counsel to Ibraheem El-Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), has called for his release.
A Kaduna state high court has ordered the transfer of Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky and his wife from SSS custody to prison. The presiding judge said the order was to ensure they have access to their lawyers and doctors.
The centre frowning at what it described as “enslavement of children in their various terrorist cells in the country”, called on the relevant authorities to put an end to the barbaric practice.
