An Ekiti state high court, sitting in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, sentenced a 32-year-old herdsman, Muhammadu Abubakar, to life imprisonment for attempted murder.
The planned move by northern herdsmen to sue southern governors for signing the anti-open grazing law seems to be getting the backing of the federal government.
The commissioner for Internal Security in Kaduna state, has confirmed the death of 12 locals killed and two others injured in an attack in Zangon Kataf LGA.
One of the victims of the incident which occurred in Edo where Olajide Sowore was killed, says the attackers are armed herdsmen who had cows in their camps.
Nigerians on social media have taken to social media to react after suspected herdsmen stole a woman's phone and uploaded their photos on her Facebook page.
The group noted that the video denounces the notion that has been making rounds that the vice president has not spoken against the killings in the country.
