President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, January 5, revealed that he sent back two governors who complained about the clashes, between herders and farmers.

According to President Muhamamdu Buhari in his advice to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo, local authorities have a role to play in resolving farmer-herder clashes.

The governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom has decried the growing number of orphans in the state due to the incessant killings and attacks by herdsmen in Benue.

Various experts across the country have called for an improved women participation in issues of security, conflict resolution and peace building in Nigeria.
