The governor of Akwa Ibom state, Mr Udom Emmanuel, has used the occasion of the Christmas celebration to extend an olive branch to the opposition in the state.
Governor Udom Emmanuel gave the directive that all workers and pensioners in Akwa Ibom should receive their salary before Wednesday, December 25, so that they will have money to celebrate the Christmas with their families.
Governor Emmanuel said Akwa Ibom has enormous business opportunities and called on interested foreign investors to open businesses in the state, assuring them of a guaranteed conducive environment.
In a unanimous decision, the apex court dismissed the appeal brought by Nsima Ekere of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for lacking in merit.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo described the Green House project as a laudable initiative which should be emulated by all Nigerians to ensure sufficient production of tomatoes and other food crops.
In a condolence message to Governor Emmanuel, the government and people of Akwa-Ibom, Okowa said Elder Emmanuel’s death is a great loss not only to the people of Akwa-Ibom but the nation in general.
