Ekiti Governorship Election 2018
A petitioner’s witness on Tuesday, October 30, told the Ekiti state governorship election tribunal, that votes for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were deliberately voided by staff of Independent National Electoral Commission.
The Ekiti governorship election tribunal was on Tuesday, October 23, forced to adjourn till Wednesday, October 24, due to the inability of the respondents to complete inspection of electoral materials the petitioners tendered.
APC publicity secretary in the state, Ade Ajayi, described Governor Fayemi as a good and dependable ambassador of good governance who populist and welfarist actions would bring succour to the people of Ekiti state.
The Muslim community in Ekiti state on Thursday, October 18, rejected what was called lopsidedness in the three appointments made so far by Governor John Kayode Fayemi, since he was sworn in on Tuesday, October 16.
The newly inaugurated governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, made his first appointments on Tuesday, October 16. However, a Muslim group has criticised the first appointments made by the governor saying no Muslim was included.
Fayose, who is still in the custody of Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja, stated this while debunking a statement credited to the the newly installed governor of the state, John Kayode Fayemi.
