The vice-chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof Idowu Olayinka has handed over six officials of its Distance Learning Center to the Department of the State Security over examination malpractice.

The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) has condemned actions of the management of University of Ibadan International School allegedly denying Muslim pupils their rights to wear hijab within the school premises.

Professor of public international law, Dapo Akande has been honoured with a portrait at St Peter’s College in Oxford University, United Kingdom, making him the first black professor to get the honour.

A female student at the University of Ibadan International School, Ikhlass Olasubomi Badiru, has been suspended for two weeks for wearing hijab on school premises. The student was suspended by school authorities.

The university advised all candidates who chose the institution in the 2019/2020 Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to check out the cut-off marks for their respective courses of choice.

Oxford has been named the world’s number one university for the fourth successive year, according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
