NFF Considers Ex- Eagles' Coach Shuaibu Amodu As Keshi's Replacement

The Nigeria Football Association, NFF, is currently considering making Shuaibu Amodu, who was a former coach of the Super Eagles, as a replacement for Stephen Keshi.

KickOffNigeria reports that the name of an ex-captain of the Super Eagles, Sunday Oliseh, also came up for consideration as a replacement for Keshi in the short and long-term.

It was gathered that the NFF is expected to put Amodu in temporary charge while it shop for a replacement. The first name that was considered is Oliseh. Despite his limited experience, the top officials of the football body have been impressed with his knowledge of the game.

The Eagles' ex- captain's name came up for discussion quickly after news of Keshi’s resignation went viral.  

However, some highly placed NFF officials confirmed that they had not decided yet, adding that they would take their time in picking a suitable replacement for Keshi.

Meanwhile, Keshi, whose contract as the Eagles Head Coach will elapsed following the team's eviction from the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Brazil, is yet to be offered a new contract. A source claimed he might not get a contract renewal contrary to purported reports.

The source alleged that the relationship between Keshi and the NFF has been altered following the announcement of his resignation without telling the NFF first.
