15-Year-Old Girl Commits Suicide After Brazil's Loss To Germany

A 15-year-old girl from Nepal committed suicide following Brazil's humiliating loss 1-7 to Germany in the semi-final match of 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The tragedy occurred in Bharaul village, when the 10th grade student Thapa Pragya unable to handle the depression caused by her favourite team's defeat hanged herself, Daily Mail reports with reference to the local police.

The girl's mother discovered her body in the morning of July 10, 2014, Thursday. As the investigation into the case was commenced, a police inspector revealed to the press:

"She was anxious to see Brazil in the final, but it went down to Germany. Some of her friends started teasing her for supporting Brazil. Later in the morning, she took an extreme measure by hanging herself in her own room."

It would be recalled that millions of fans of the hosting country suffered great disappointment while watching the match, which has become the most-talked-about single match in Twitter history
