Excited Chelsea Fans in Nigeria Lavish Cash on Cows, Paint Them in Blue Ahead of Champions League Final

Chelsea fans in Nigeria have taken their excitement to another level barely hours to the Champions League final between Blues and English rivals Manchester City.

Chelsea vs Manchester City will hold at the Estadio do Dragao on Saturday night, May 29 to determine who the king of Europe is. Both teams are already in Portugal for the showdown.

Both Premier League clubs, despite being amongst the world’s largest now find themselves on club football’s biggest stage very rarely.

The Blues haven’t made the final since that historic night in Munich back in 2012. Overall, this is their third time in the contest. Meanwhile, the Citizens are appearing in their first UCL finale.

And now fans across the world are excited across the globe as they pitch themselves, tipping either of the teams for glory in Portugal.

However, the Nigerian internet space is already agog for the battle, but Chelsea fans in the most populous African country have taken their support to a whole new height.

They have stormed every possible social media platform with photos cows as they prepare for celebrations – of course, only if they win.

Nigerians, despite the hardship, are branded as “happiest places on earth” and making barbecue out of animal foods is very common in the country.

And in their bid to celebrate the Champions League glory after their final match against the Citizens, Chelsea fans have spent lavishly on cows as they further colour them in Blue ahead of the ‘party at night’.

Taking to Twitter, @CharlesSirJohn wrote:

“A good time to be a Chelsea fan. We go chop cow tire.”

@Jilolee added:

“One Chelsea fan has bought a big cow this morning, already painting the cow blue and drawing Chelsea logo on it. Everywhere go blue for my area tomorrow night.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that hours ahead of the encounter, fans of these two Premier League giants have clashed in Porto which is the venue of the big battle.

There is no doubt about the fact that the Champions League final between Manchester City and Chelsea will be tough considering the rivalries on ground over the years.

Fans have however started their own war on the streets of Porto according to the report by Daily Mail who claimed to have spotted a video of the two gangs yelling at each other.
