As reported earlier, the European Super League fiasco has rattled a number of clubs who were initially on board with the plan including Manchester United.

The storm was so rough that United’s Vice Chairman Ed Woodward announced his intentions to leave the club at the end of the year.

Amid the storm of the Super League and Woodward’s resignation, a section of United fans made their feelings about owners The Glazer family known on Thursday in extraordinary scenes at the club’s Carrington training ground.

Notably, Joel Glazer was unveiled as European Super League vice-chairman when the bombshell announcement was made on Sunday but later apologised.

Amid calls for the Glazers to leave Man United, one Arsenal fan went on radio to ask their counterparts to be careful what they wish for.

The fan went on to describe a number of investments done by Manchester United in the last few years in terms of players.

"I'm completely disgusted with United on the whole Glazers, Super League thing - it's disgusting," the fan, identified as Ben begun on Talksport.

"They do make me laugh though. United fans saying the Glazers are running them into the ground. They outspend most teams every year.
"£80 million for [Harry] Maguire. Just look at Arsenal, try having Kroenke for a couple of years. We're having to loan players. We signed [Nicolas] Pepe for £72 million and we're still paying it in instalments.
"They blow everyone out of the water with money and they say they're running them into the ground."

Woodward has been perceived as a central figure in the Glazers’ regime, and it would be interesting to see how the club runs without him from 2022.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Bruno Fernandes will commit his future to Man United only if Paul Pogba resolves to remain at the club beyond next season.

Pogba's deal with United is set to expire in June next year after the Red Devils triggered a one-year extension in his deal back in October.
