Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa Finally Discloses Big Reason For his Return to Kano Pillars

Ahmed Musa has finally opened up on his decision to make return to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) claiming that he rejoined Kano Pillars so as to help boost the image of the League.

Musa's return to the Nigerian Professional Football League is still the discussion among Nigerian football fans and also sports reporters.

The former Leicester City man was on the verge of making a return to the Premier League before the move to West Brom was blocked.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Ahmed Musa claimed that he is not regretting returning to Kano Pillars where he made his name.

“Anything that improves the image of Nigerian football is something that I strive to embark on and Kano Pillars holds a special place in my heart.
“It’s the team that helped me become the professional footballer I am today, so this is more than just football but a very strong bond.”

In the 2009/10 season that Ahmed Musa first played for Kano Pillars, he finished as top scorer in the League netting 18 goals before he moved to Europe.

Musa has played 96 games for the Super Eagles netting 15 goals and was also among the Nigerian squad that finished as third best at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

He was also among the Super Eagles team that won the 2013 African Cup of Nations title in South Africa under late coach Stephen Keshi.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa completed his multi-million naira sports center in Kaduna where youths are expected to be training and they can also exhibit their talents.

The former Leicester City striker is one of the richest Nigerian players considering his assets since he started playing football from the street of Jos.

Ahmed Musa started playing football in Jos before moving to JUTH FC from where he was signed them by former Nigerian champions Kano Pillars.

He spent only one season with the Sai Masugida netting 18 goals before moving to Europe where he made massive money for himself.

Musa who last played in the Saudi Arabian League also has a multi-million naira sports center in Kano state.
