Embattled Premier League club Fulham have reportedly joined clubs like Genk and Monaco in the race to sign Nigerian and Chelsea forward Ike Ugho who currently plays for Cercle Brugge on loan.

Since linking up with Cercle Brugge from Chelsea on loan last summer, the 22-year-old has been impressive for the club in all competitions.

Ugbo has played 33 games so far for the side and he has scored 16 goals creating one assist for the Belgian topflight giants.

Sampdoria, Bologna as well as Russian club Rostov are the other clubs reported to be interested in the signing of Ike Ugbo this summer.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Premier League side Chelsea are ready to listen to offers from clubs interested in Ike Ugbo, but they will have to pay £5m.

Returning to Stamford Bridge will also not be a good option for Ike Ugbo considering the fact that he won't get active playing time under Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea have been doing well since Tuchel took over from Lampard and the Blues are currently in the semifinal of the Champions League.

The Blues are currently occupying fifth position on the Premier League table with 54 points after 31 games played so far this term.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel disclosed that he would prefer to face Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final than Premier League rivals Liverpool.

The manager stated that he would rather play a team from another league because of the Champions League feel.

The German tactician guided the Blues to the semi-final of the European competition for the first time since 2014 despite their 1-0 second-leg loss to Portuguese side FC Porto.

Chelsea had done the job in the first-leg winning 2-0 as they proceed 2-1 on aggregates. Now the Blues will face either Real Madrid or Liverpool next.

And ahead of the showdown, Real Madrid announced that team captain Sergio Ramos has tested positive for COVID-19.

The defender was sidelined with an injury he picked up during the last FIFA break and was not expected to return to the squad in the next few days.
