For him to sanction Erling Haaland’s transfer to Spanish club Barcelona, agent Mino Raiola has demanded a staggering €20 million (£17 million) from the Catalan giants, SPORTbible reports.

Amid speculation that the Borussia Dortmund striker could potentially move to the La Liga, reports had it that the player’s father and agent were at Barcelona last week.

The 20-year-old is now the most sought-after striker across the European continent following his 49 goals and several assists since arriving from RB Salzburg.

Premier League clubs Manchester United, Manchester City as well as Chelsea are chasing the player who has been tipped to become a great player in future.

During their meeting with Barca chiefs at the Camp Nou, it was gathered that Raiola and Haaland’s dad Alfie must be paid €20 million (£17 million) each.

They are asking for a salary of €30 million (£26 million) for the superstar forward.

Not to mention the continuity of Lionel Messi, who has been the subject of intense transfer speculation ahead of the expiration of his current contract.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are reportedly planning to make a move for Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez if they fail to seal a deal for Erling Haaland this summer. A

The Catalans lost Luis Suarez to Spanish League rivals Atletico Madrid after the arrival of Ronald Koeman last August.

With Haaland expected to cost the Blaugrana a fortune if they decide to go for him, the La Liga side is now expected to re-ignite interest in the Argentine forward.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has provided an update on the future of team captain Lionel Messi who is being heavily linked away from the Spanish club at the end of the season.

The Argentine’s contract lapses during the summer which means he will be a free agent, amid links to Premier League club Manchester City and Ligue 1 outfit PSG.

At the moment it remains unclear where Messi will be playing next season, but Barcelona are doing everything to ensure the six-time Ballon d’Or winner signs a new contract at the club.
