William Troost-Ekong who is a Nigerian defender has stated clearly that he and his Super Eagles teammates are ready for their encounter against Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

The Nigeria national team, three-time African champions, will face visiting Lesotho in their last group game in the 2022 African Cup of Nations qualifiers on Tuesday evening, March 30.

Gernot Rohr and his men will be going into this duel against Lesotho with boosted morale having already qualified for next year's African Cup of Nations which will hold in Cameroon.

It was twenty years ago that Super Eagles last played in Lagos, but this time around, only 10,000 fans will be allowed to enter the Teslim Balogun stadium because of COVID-19.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Troost-Ekong who has been superb for the Super Eagles over the years explained that victory is what Nigeria would get against Lesotho.

“I’ve heard that the fans are passionate, that’s nice because hopefully we can feel their support.
"Anywhere you play where the fans are passionate, you want to give your 100 per cent. We are not scared; we just want to play good football for them."

Since 2015 that Troost-Ekong has been playing for the Super Eagles, the defender has featured in 45 games for Nigeria netting two goals.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Paul Onuachu scored his first competitive goal for Nigeria in their Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier victory over Benin Republic in Porto Novo.

The Genk forward made a bold move by jumping over the Squirrels' defenders to head a rebound into the back of the net to give the Super Eagles maximum points away from home.

His goal ensured the three-time AFCON kings bounced back to winning ways after back-to-back draws against Sierra Leone last November.

However, after his goal a few days ago, the 26-year-old has grown hungry to score more for the country's national team.

Onuachu scored his first-ever goal for the country in an international friendly game against Egypt in March 2019.
