Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho made way into Dinamo Zahreb’s locker room shortly after the Croatian team knocked his Tottenham team out of the Europa League.

Spurs squandered a 2-0 goal advantage salvaged in the first leg of the tie played in London last week to exit the tournament.

Mislav Orsic emerged match hero during the encounter, scoring a stunning hat-trick to help Zagreb book a place in the quarter-finals of the European competition on a 3-2 goal aggregate.

However, despite the loss, Jose Mourinho walked into the opposition’s dressing room to applaud them over the victory.

The Portuguese tactician congratulated their opponents as he clapped for them before he headed for the post-match conference where he expressed disappointment.

He said:

"I am disappointed for a difference of attitude of one team to another. I feel sorry that my team is the team that didn't bring to the game not just the basics of football but the basics of life, which is to respect our jobs and to give everything.”

Meanwhile, Manchester United are through to this season's Europa League quarter-final after a hard-fought victory over AC Milan at the San Siro on Thursday night, March 18.

Paul Pogba scored the only goal on the night as the Red Devils grabbed a crucial 1-0 victory away from home.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men United were desperate to secure a favourable result in the second leg clash with a place in the quarter-finals of the European competition at stake, after the first leg ended 1-1 at the Old Trafford.

And there wasn't much between the two teams in the early exchanges but it was Manchester United who looked to have the bite between their teeth.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Dutchman Van de Beek could be leaving Premier League club Manchester United at the end of the season despite moving to Old Trafford last season.

He moved to England from Ajax for £35million last summer but has managed to start just two games this season in the topflight.

The 23-year-old is left stunned by limited action and he is worried that he does not have a future at the club.
