Super Eagles legend Finidi George who played at two World Cups for Nigeria has frowned against the decision of coach Gernot Rohr to invite Ahmed Musa for the coming AFCON 2022 qualifiers.

Nigeria will later this month be facing Lesotho and Benin Republic in which a point would be enough for Super Eagles to pick their ticket for next year's AFCON championship.

Recently, Gernot Rohr came out with his 24-man list for the two encounters in which Ahmed Musa was included.

Football lovers and many Nigerians however took to social media to question Gernot Rohr on what mad him to invite Ahmed Musa to the Super Eagles.

Ahmed Musa has been without a club since he left the Saudi Arabian League last year and the former Leicester City man is hoping to get a side soon.

According to the report on Complete Sports who are citing Brila, Finidi George who played 62 games for the Super Eagles claimed that Rohr should not have invited Ahmed Musa.

‘'We know that Musa has done a lot for Nigeria and on his day he is a good player, but at the moment he doesn’t have a club. What criteria was considered before he was invited.
‘'I can still play football but I couldn’t compete against fit players. He’s a good player, when he is in top form. But at the moment he has not played for 5 months and you can’t put him out there against fitter players in competitive situations.''
