Liverpool continue to battle for a place in the top four with the hope of qualifying for next season’s Champions League as they are currently struggling.

Manager of the team Jurgen Klopp has stated that the club will bounce back soon, saying it is hard to imagine they are finishing outside the top four.

Liverpool are the reigning Premier League kings and they were on top of the standings as at Christmas, but barely two months later Klopp accepts that retaining the title is no longer possible.

He however insist that players will remain with the Reds even if they fail to make the Champions League.

He said via Mirror:

“This club will not be a regular out of the Champions’ League - this year is difficult we know that.

“But this club is in a really good position in a better position than other clubs I would say. Nobody has to worry about the future of the club because it is in good hands and has a really good team together, and so that is obviously the basis for a good future.

“We all understand this situation - the main reason for qualifying for the Champions League is about finances” - but he is adamant the events of a decade ago will not be repeated.

“The potential and the power of the club is a completely different one. We have the squad together, if they are not all injured. It is a different one to 10 years ago.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Mohamed Salah’s agent sent out a subtle message on social media after his client was subbed off during Liverpool's 1-0 defeat to Chelsea.

The Egyptian who is the current Premier League top scorer with 17 goals, was taken off just after the hour mark, having had very little impact in the game.

Jurgen Klopp replaced him with Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain while Curtis Jones came off for Diogo Jota but the substitutions did not help mount a comeback against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.

Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa tweeted with a full stop, moments after Salah as taken off. A full stop could mean anything but sceptics interpreted it as a sign of disapproval at the withdrawal of his client.
