Twenty months after leaving Premier League giants Chelsea, Eden Hazard has reportedly emerged as a target for the Blues who are preparing a rescue deal for the Belgium international.

To be candid, Eden Hazard has not been impressive for Real Madrid since he joined Los Blancos from Chelsea considering the form he was before leaving the London side.

Before leaving Chelsea, Eden Hazard steered the Blues to the final of the Europa League in which they defeated Arsenal in the final which was his last game for the Stamford Bridge landlords.

One would have expected the Belgian star to reproduce such form for Real Madrid when he joined them, but he has been struggling and has played only 24 games since June 2019 netting 3 goals.

Hazard is currently nursing a muscle injury at Real Madrid which has really affected his game at the Santiago.

According to the report on Sportsbible, Chelsea have been drawn in by the idea of landing the Belgium international for half of the £88m transfer fee Real Madrid paid for his signature.

Already, the Blues have spent big money this term on the signing of some players who have failed to impress at Stamford Bridge.

Poor performance from Chelsea players also made the club's chiefs to sack Frank Lampard and was replaced with former PSG handler Thomas Tuchel.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel might be without Thiago Silva against Sheffield United this weekend following the hamstring injury he suffered during Tottenham Hotspur's 1-0 win.

Jorginho scored the only goal from the spot in the 24th minute after Eric Dier tripped Timo Werner through a clumsy challenge from the Englishman.

The victory, however, means that the German boss has claimed his second victory in three games since he became the Blues manager, and has also kept clean sheets in all three meetings.

Meanwhile, the former Paris Saint Germain's defender-general tried clearing off the ball but overstretched and he ended up hurting himself in the process.
