Arsenal legend Kanu Nwankwo has praised his former team over their draw with fierce rivals Manchester United on Saturday, January 30.

Both teams approached the cracker coming with contrasting results as Arsenal defeated Southampton 3-1 while United were stunned 2-1 at Old Trafford by relegation threatened Sheffield United in their previous fixtures respectively.

It means United are still unable to beat any of their ‘Big Six’ rivals in the English topflight so far this campaign.

For Arsenal, they continue their resurgence after a run of poor results.

Reacting to the stalemate Kanu stated that both teams played well and stated he is looking forward to Arsenal returning to winning ways in their next fixture. He tweeted:

Manchester City, however, went four points clear at the top of the Premier League after a hard-fought 1-0 win against a determined Sheffield United.

Gabriel Jesus’ strike in the first half proved to be the difference as Pep Guardiola’s men made it seven Premier League wins in a row.

The Citizens began the game as typical favorites and created chances early on while dominating majority of possession.
