Jordan Henderson who is the captain of Premier League giants Liverpool has expressed his disappointment over referee Paul Tierney's decision to end first half of the Reds' tie against Manchester United five seconds early.

Jurgen Klopp and his wards had the chance to climb to the summit of the Premier League table of they had beaten Manchester United, but Ole Solskjaer and his wards were impressive and got a point.

Before the center referee blew the whistle for the end of the first half, Senegalese striker Sadio Mane was set up nicely and was up against De Gea to beat in what was a great chance.

But sadly for the Reds, the whistle was blown and Sadio Mane lost the chance to give Liverpool the lead at Anfield.

According to the report on Daily Mail, Jordan Henderson explained that him and his teammates were frustrated with the decision for the center referee.

''We weren't happy about that as you can imagine. Strange very strange.
''He's through on goal if he doesn't blow that. I don't know. We were frustrated at half-time, but there was plenty of time for us to score another goal but lacked quality in that last bit.''

Following the draw against Manchester United, Liverpool are now occupying fourth position on the Premier League table with 34 points after 18 games played.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Georginio Wijnaldum handed Barcelona a huge transfer boost as the midfielder is reportedly planning to reject a new Liverpool deal ahead of his move to Spain this year.

The Dutchman will run out of contract with the Premier League defending champions at the end of this season and all effort to persuade him to extend his reign at Anfield look impossible.

As it stands now, the 30-year-old has the liberty to negotiate with any club interested in his services when he leaves Anfield this summer.

Despite helping the Reds to Champions League and Premier League triumphs in successive seasons, Wijnaldum has his eyes set on joining the Catalans and reunited with his former national team boss Ronald Koeman.
