Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has sent a strong warning to Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over Frenchman Anthony Martial.
The former Palace boss suggests to the manager that Martial is not good enough for the Red Devils, claiming that the forward could get him fired at the Old Trafford.
Since taking the United job permanently in 2019, Solskjaer has continued to be under pressure, but he could see his side go top of the Premier League standings with, at least, a draw when they take on Burnley on Tuesday night, January 12.
And despite United’s recent improvement, Jordan who has been a vocal critic of the United manager has stated that the tactician’s job is far from safe and that it is only a matter of time if he continues to have Martial in the squad.
The 25-year-old scored 23 goals last season but has only scored five times so far this season and has often been the cause of frustration. Jordan told talkSPORT as cited on SPORTbible.
"Anthony Martial will get you sacked if you have him regularly in your side because he's not good enough and he's lightweight.
"He may well do it, he may well beat Klopp next week. I don't think he will but I don't take any satisfaction, I don't sit there wanting this man out of a job.
"I don't have an agenda, I'm just calling it as I see it. If you want to call it an agenda, that's peoples perspectives."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of losing Timothy Fosu-Mensah to German League side Bayer Leverkusen this transfer window.
The 23-year-old Dutchman has only featured just three times across all competitions for the Red Devils so far this campaign.
However, he has been told by his Premier League side he can leave the club owing to his limited playing time at the club.
And the Bundesliga outfit is edging closer to sealing a £1.5 million deal for the defender who seems to have fallen down the pecking order under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
