Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil is reportedly in negotiations with MLS side DC United as the American football team wants the playmaker to become the face of the club

UK outlet SunSport are reporting that the German is now in advanced talks with officials of the club having been out of favour under Mikel Arteta.

With his contract set to lapse in the summer, Ozil is now free to begin negotiations with other clubs and football.london are reporting that an attractive package has been offered to the midfielder by the US based club.

Details of the deal stipulated that Ozil’s M10 brand will be expanded around the states as his '39 Steps Coffee' would also be distributed around their Audi Field Stadium.

The American side are convinced that the German can be the 'face of their club' moving forward.

They also plan to release a full Ozil merchandise line.

The North London club is currently enjoying a resurgent form in the Premier League having won their last three games.
