Toni Kroos who currently plays for Spanish champions Real Madrid has explained that Barcelona legend Lionel Messi does not deserve to make top three in the FIFA Award list.

This comes days after the world football governing body named Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski as the best player in the world.

Lewandowski was impressive last season for Bayern Munich in all competitions as he also won treble with the German champions.

Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo came second in the FIFA Award due to his impressive performances for Juventus last season.

According to the report on Sportsbible, Toni Kroos explained that Robert Lewandowski deserved the award, but turned his back against Lionel Messi making the top three.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Barcelona legend Lionel Messi is now topping the list of players with most goals for one club after netting for the Spanish La Liga giants in their win over Valladolid on Tuesday night, December 22.

The goal the Argentina international scored in the 65th minute takes him to 644 thereby breaking the record of Brazilian football legend Pele.

Pele was one of the best players in the world during his active playing time considering his superb performances while playing for Santos netting 643 goals.

He also succeeded in the Brazilian national senior's men team winning three World Cup titles before he retired from football.

Since breaking into Barcelona's first team in 2004, Lionel Messi has been superb for the Catalans winning all titles and has also won the Ballon d'Or awards six times.
