Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Pogba are being linked with a blockbuster swap deal involving two European giants, Juventus and Manchester United.

CR7 is being considered to make a sensational return to Manchester United where he spent six seasons between 2003 and 2009 before leaving to join Spanish giants Real Madrid.

On the other hand, Paul Pogba is being poached to return to Juventus as calls for him to move back to the Turin based club has been a recurring theme.

Juventus are looking to sell Ronaldo as they won’t be able to cope with his £26m-a-year salary due to the financial impact of the pandemic with halted football activities earlier in the year.

As regards Pogba, his agent, Mino Raiola, earlier stated that his client is unhappy at the Old Trafford club and he suggested that the best option is for the player to leave.

However, since such comment, Pogba has featured in their last three games for Manchester United and has been impressive as he also helped the Red Devils to a stunning comeback to defeat Sheffield United.

This could now force Ole Gunnar Solsjaer to have a rethink and then find a permanent place for the player who has underachieved since his record move to the club.

United would secure the return of one of the game's greatest players, while Juventus would clear Ronaldo from their wage bill in return for their former player, who previously excelled in Turin and at 27, still has his best years ahead of him.

It is easy to see why the deal would make financial sense for Juventus, with Ronaldo's whopping pay packet almost twice as much as Pogba's £15m-a-year wages.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that FIFA’s The Best Award in the individual men’s category was won by Bayern Munich legend, Robert Lewandowski who polled a massive 52 votes to claim the coveted prize on Thursday night, December 17.
