- Chelsea are yet to lose any of the 9 matches that the Brazilian star appeared in
- Reports have it that the Blues are already negotiating a contract extension with the 36-year-old
Chelsea are reportedly in negotiations with Brazilian defender Thiago Silva in their bid to get the defender to renew his contract with the Stamford Bridge club.
The 36-year-old arrived the Premier League club from French side Paris Saint Germain in the summer for free after seeing-off his deal.
Silva then joined Chelsea on a one-year contract and has been impressive since he joined the Blues. Now Chelsea are offering another one-year extension.
It was gathered that Chelsea already included a clause which allows them to keep the player for another year and now they are ready to activate it.
Silva has been phenomenal on-and-off the pitch for Frank Lampard’s side and has made 9 appearances under the manager.
He remains unbeaten winning six with three draws and Chelsea have scored 25 goals in that period of time, considering just 5.
He endured a shaky start as he wore the captain's armband on debut at West Brom but has since recovered to become a dominant figure in a much-improved Chelsea defence, scoring his first goal against Sheffield United.
Silva appears to be enjoying life at the heart of the Blues defence with Kurt Zouma his regular centre-back partner.
Meanwhile, Victor Moses' chances of joining Spartak Moscow on a permanent basis may have been jeopardised as the club's manager Domenico Tedesco casts doubt on the future of the player at the Otkrytie Arena.
The former Super Eagles winger joined the Russian side in the summer on a season-long loan deal in his sixth temporary move away from Stamford Bridge since his arrival from Wigan in 2012.

It was gathered that Moses might be returning to Chelsea at the end of the season as his manager seems unimpressed with his performances so far.
And Legit.ng earlier reported that Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has expressed sympathy for Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho whose side are engrossed in very tight match schedules due to their engagement in the Europa League.
Spurs who face Ludogorets Razgrad in the Europa League on Thursday, November 26, will have just two days to rest before their London Derby against Chelsea.
Portuguese tactician Mourinho is upset with the development as he lamented that his team won’t be having enough time to rest before the big match.
