Jose Mourinho guided Tottenham Hotspur to a 2-0 victory over former Premier League champions Manchester City last weekend.

A goal each from Heung-min Son and Giovani Lo Celso were all the North Londoners needed to clinch maximum points after the regulation period.

The triumph ensured Spurs rise to the top of the log for the first time since August 2014, it is also the first time they've ended the day top of the league this far into a campaign since January 1985.

Mourinho seems very serious when he promised to win laurels for Tottenham during his reign at the club. earlier reported that Jose Mourinho has insisted that Tottenham Hotspur are not Premier League title favourites despite their huge 2-0 win over Man City over the weekend.
