Inter Milan are reportedly interested in luring Olivier Giroud away from Chelsea when the January transfer window opens.

The Frenchman has a deal with the Blues until the summer of 2021 having signed an extension with them at the end of last season.

However, he remains a fringe player under Frank Lampard who appears to prefer younger players in his matchday squad.

The former England midfielder prefers Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham before even considering the former Arsenal man.

Giroud has made just six appearances with one goal credited to his name across all competitions this term but the player wants more time on the pitch.

Meanwhile, SunSport citing Italian outlet CalcioMercato reports that the Serie A campaigners are ready to raid the Premier League for the forward.
