- Sergio Reguilon is likely to suffer lack of game time at Real Madrid with both Marcelo and Mendy available for selection in the left-back position
- Reguilon spent last season with Sevilla on loan helping them win the Europa League after victory over Inter Milan
- United are in the market in search of a left-back with both Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams injured ahead of the new season
Man United have reportedly been offered a golden opportunity to sign Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon.
The development came just days after it emerged United could make a move for the Spaniard this summer.
The Red Devils are said to have emerged favourites to sign the 23-year-old to provide cover for injury-prone Luke Shaw.
Metro UK citing Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano now report Reguilon could be headed to Old Trafford after Madrid informing United the player is available for sale.

Real are understood to be desperate to offload the left-back in order to free up space in their squad to boost their transfer kitty.
This is despite the defender's impressive performances for Sevilla while on loan with the club that saw him help them win the Europa League.
The Spaniard, who is currently on duty with Spain national team is valued at around £18million.
He is likely to find game time hard to come by at Santiago Bernabeu, as he will be up against Marcelo and Ferland Mendy in competition for a starting place in the left-back position.
Whereas United are yet to make a decision on the transfer, the defender will most definitely provide Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with more options as he rethinks his backline ahead of the new season.
He would obviously provide strong competition for Shaw who missed the better part of last season with an ankle injury.
His place was subsequently taken by youngster Brandon Williams who was also forced out of England's Under-21s team with a foot injury.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how English professional footballer Jadon Sancho who currently plays for Borussia Dortmund made it clear that he has no issues with speculation linking him with a move to Man United.
The 20-year-old winger has long been linked with a move to join the Red Devils who are said to be ready to make a move for his signing this summer.
After their failure to land any title last season in all competitions, Manchester United gaffer Ole Solskjaer wants to bolster his squad for the coming season.
