Brazilian footballer Neymar has confirmed that he has no intention of leaving Paris-Saint-Germain this summer despite failure to win the Champions League title.
Paris Saint-Germain actually signed Neymar from Barcelona with the hopes that the Brazilian would help them win the Champions League, but that has not been done.
Neymar and his teammates made it to the final of this year's Champions League for the first time in the club's history in which their morale was boosted to triumph.
Unfortunately, Paris-Saint-Germain were beaten in the Champions League final by German champions Bayern Munich.
Defeat against Bayern Munich made Neymar angry after the encounter which suggested that the Brazilian might be ready to face the exit doors.
He has now stated emphatically that he is ready to stay in Paris and help PSG to reach the Champions League final again.
''I am staying at Paris-Saint-Germain next season.
"I remain and with the ambition to return to the final of the Champions League, this time to win it. I like this idea of doing everything to leave my name in the history books of my club,'' Neymar told PSG Le Mag.
This latest development has however ended the speculation of Neymar making a return to Spanish side Barcelona.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Lionel Messi reportedly held talks with Neymar privately regarding a move to Manchester City, reports from Brazil claim.
The Barcelona star shocked the world when he officially submitted a transfer request to his employers that he wants to end his 17-year reign at senior level.
And according to ESPN Brasil, Messi is now looking to reunite with former boss Pep Guardiola and his former La Blaugrana teammate Neymar at the Etihad.
Jorge Nicola who is the commentator for ESPN Brasil claimed that the Argentine and the Brazilian have held talks about Messi's Barcelona exit.
Messi enjoyed Neymar's three-year spell at the Camp Nou, winning the Champions League and La Liga titles.
