Tanguy Ndombele: Barcelona to offer player plus cash for Tottenham Hotspur star

- Tanguy Ndombele has been linked with a move to Barcelona

- The Catalans are willing to include a player in the deal to sign the Frenchman this summer

- Spurs are said to be interested in only cash as they hope to raise funds and sign a defensive midfielder

Spanish league giants Barcelona have reportedly concluded plans to offer one of their players to Tottenham Hotspur in exchange for Tanguy Ndombele this summer.

The Catalans are willing to include any of Samuel Umtiti, Nelson Semedo, or Arthur Melo plus cash in the deal to sign the 23-year-old midfielder.

However, Spurs are not interested in all of the players listed, adding that they will accept cash for the transfer of their player.

According to SunSport, the La Liga defending champions may not be able to meet the north Londoners' £55 million valuation due to the spread of ravaging coronavirus.

Tottenham are not impressed with the player who joined them from Olympique Lyon in a six-year deal valued around £65 million last summer.

The Premier League side is willing to recoup their investment - hence, the reason they will only transact business with clubs who are willing to pay cash.

Meanwhile, £48m-rated Arthur has been linked with a move to Inter Milan and this could happen if Spurs decided to pick one of the defenders over him.

The Sun claims Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is in search of an effective defensive midfielder - which is why Spurs would want cash.

Reports also claim that they are not desperate about selling Ndombele but would consider a move if they get the right deal.

The Frenchman has made 27 appearances for the north Londoners so far this campaign with two goals under his name. But his attitude and fitness have both been questioned heavily by the Portuguese handler.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has made his mark in the world of football that earned him the 'Special One' tag due to his achievements off and on the pitch.

Winning two Champions League titles with two different clubs alongside several other domestic league trophies in his career so far.

However, the 57-year-old tactician goes beyond just winning silverware after the Spurs handler was said to have pulled his former teammate out of a burning vehicle.
