Philippe Coutinho: Barcelona to add Brazilian in deal to sign N'golo Kante

- Philippe Coutinho seems to have played his last game for Barcelona

- The Catalans are hoping they can include him in the deal to sign Kante at the end of this season

- Frank Lampard already showed interests in the Brazilian but their transfer ban scattered their chances

Barcelona appears to have joined the chase for the signature of Chelsea midfielder N'golo Kante at the end of this campaign.

The Catalans are hoping they can add out-of-favour star Philippe Coutinho in the deal to land the 2018 World Cup star who is equally wanted by rivals Real Madrid.

According to SunSport, Barca want to add the Frenchman to their squad in a bid to solidify their midfield ahead of the season.

The publication further revealed that the La Liga defending champions are targeting Kante as a replacement for the duo of Arturo Vidal and Ivan Rakitic.

They are also preparing for life after Spanish national team player Sergio Busquets who will turn 32 in a few months from now.

Barcelona are desperate to offload their Brazilian star who joined the club in a deal around £145 million from Liverpool in January 2018.

Coutinho is currently on loan at Bundesliga side Bayern Munich but the German League side are not planning to use the option to make his deal permanent.

The Sun reports that the Blues made attempts to sign the winger last August but their efforts were scuppered by their transfer ban.

Meanwhile, the player's agent is said to be planning to bring his client back to the Premier League but his prospective club must meet Barca's demands.

EPL clubs like Arsenal, Tottenham, and Leicester have all shown interests in the former Reds attacker.

Frank Lampard's Chelsea are on the front burner to sign the playmaker and the Catalans are hoping they can use Coutinho to sign Kante.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Philippe Coutinho had been receiving several warnings from Neymar via WhatsApp messages before he signed for Barcelona, reports claim.

Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017 for a world record fee of £200million from Camp Nou while Coutinho made a January switch to the opposite direction in 2018.

And reports in Spain claim Neymar had sent several text messages to his compatriot to convince him to join PSG instead.
