Kylian Mbappe: Liverpool plotting move for PSG star as replacement for Mane

- Kylian Mbappe could join Liverpool if they lose Mane to Real Madrid

- Los Blancos boss is not giving up on bringing the Senegalese to Santiago Bernabeu this summer

- The Reds will have to pay a fortune to sign French youngster who won World Cup with France in 2018

Real Madrid are reportedly planning to intensify their efforts to sign Liverpool superstar Sadio Mane at the end of this season.

Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane is said to be a big fan of the Senegal international who is expected to cost his team about £150 million.

Mane has a running deal with the Reds until the summer of 2023 having signed an extension which earns him £150,000 every week.

The 28-year-old has been impressive for the Anfield side helping them to back-to-back Champions League finals with one title to show for it.

He has also played a key role this season as they are close to lifting their first-ever Premier League title in about three decades.

Jurgen Klopp is, however, preparing for life after the former Southampton star having penned down a move for Paris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappe as Mane's replacement.

According to SunSport, Real Madrid might have to cough out £150m for the reigning African footballer of the year.

Although Real made an attempt to sign Egyptian goal king Mohamed Salah last August, their efforts failed to yield desired results.

The Merseyside are hoping they can tell Real to back off from their player just the way they did when they came looking for Salah's signature.

Reports claim Liverpool are expecting to get £150 million for Mane but they will have to add another £100m to get PSG to the table.

Despite Klopp insisting the chances to bring the French World Cup-winning star to Anfield are zero - saying they cannot afford him.

The Sun revealed that it was before they signed a new deal with new kit sponsors Nike, where they will make £100m a year.

Liverpool will have to find a way to take care of Mbappe’s £400,00-a-week wages before thinking of signing him, and they could urge Nike to take up that project.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Sadio Mane has already made his pick for the Premier League Player of the Season with few games left to play.

The 27-year-old could have picked the runners-up of the 2019 Ballon d'Or Virgil van Dijk but Mane opted for an outfield player.

The Liverpool striker is banking on the award to be given to his teammate and captain Jordan Henderson.
