- Odion Ighalo has made their doubters eat their since joining Man United, according to Arsenal legend Ian Wright

- The 30-year-old has so far scored three goals in seven matches since his winter from Chinese Super League

- Ighalo is now a toast to Red Devils fans at Old Trafford but he is yet to score a Premier League goal for them

Odion Ighalo only had a few people that believed in him when he signed for Man United during the January transfer window, cited on Express Uk.

So far so good for the former Nigerian international as he has scored three goals in seven matches in the FA Cup and Europa League respectively.

And legendary Arsenal striker Ian Wright has heaped praises on the 30-year-old for his adding more bite in the Red Devils attack since his arrival from China.

“I’m delighted for him because like you say he could go down as maybe fourth or fifth [choice signing in January],” Wright told Premier League Productions.

“The way people ridiculed the signing, like laughing at Man United for signing him, I feel that he will ram that down people’s throats.

“It was so last minute but what I was reading was the way they were ridiculing the signing of Ighalo, because they were talking about the poor season he had before he left Watford, then going to China and not knowing exactly what he’s been doing out there, how well it’s him.

“So when you go for him, somebody that was here nearly four years ago, whatever it was, people are saying ‘Is that where Man United are now?’.

“I was hoping that Ighalo could just come in, get himself fit to a certain level, score the goals like he’s done in Europe and in the FA Cup and then go on to win it in the Premier League.

“So far my wish has come true in respects of him scoring because when somebody does something like that, the amount of people that are taking encouragement from him being there and doing that, it’s a magnificent thing what’s happening for him.

“So you just hope that he can get himself fit, score more goals for Man United in the Premier League so people can see ‘Yes, you can take chances on people like that’.”een going for
