John Terry believes Chelsea will secure top 4 after Man United defeat

- John Terry has expressed concerns over Chelsea's recent dip in form in the Premier League

- Tottenham and Man United have enjoyed a decent run of results to put pressure on the Blues who sit fourth

- The Stamford Bridge dwellers had enjoyed a 10-point advantage earlier in the season

- There are now just seven points separating them in fourth and Arsenal who sit 10th on the log but Terry believes his former club will finish in top 4

Chelsea legend John Terry believes his former club are still good enough for a top four place despite a string of poor results in recent weeks.

Monday night's 2-0 shock defeat to Man United at Stamford Bridge left the Blues just a point above fifth-placed Tottenham and three above United.

Goals from Anthony Martial and Harry Maguire in either half of the clash were enough to seal an important win for the Red Devils.

The victory now leaves the Manchester side just three points off a Champions League place as the 2019/20 campaign hits its homestretch.

The resurgence of several other teams and Chelsea's recent dip in form has seen the west London club lose significant momentum in their push to cement their place in the top four.

The Frank Lampard tutored side had enjoyed a 10-point advantage earlier in the season, but Lampard's young guns appear to have slacked.

And Terry now believes his former side must step up their game or miss out on a place on Europe's elite competition but tips them to still make it to the competition.

"It begins with Spurs at the weekend at home. It’s the perfect game to come and respond if you are a Chelsea supporter or player. They are probably our biggest rivals, a local derby," Metro UK quoted the Englishman.

"It will be tough, I just think Spurs and Man United have had a couple of good results and I think Chelsea are on the decline slightly. But I think they have another gear to go to and I think Chelsea will secure that fourth spot," he continued.

The Egyptian star has been impressive for Liverpool since he joined them from Roma in 2017.

Salah has scored 89 goals and registered 39 assists in 139 matches in all competitions.

The 27-year-old joined Reds in the summer of 2017 from Italian League side AS Roma in a deal around €42 million.
